No. It is an evidence-organized lead for independent reporting and editorial evaluation. CTD does not authorize publication on your outlet’s behalf.
What does “verified” mean?
For access, it means the applicant’s identity and purpose passed the applicable review. For a package, it means recorded evidence and approval controls passed. It does not promise independent replication of every underlying source claim.
Can I cite CTD as the underlying source?
The evidence kit identifies the released source lineage. Reporters should inspect and cite original sources where appropriate; the CTD package version can document provenance but does not replace source verification.
How current is the evidence?
Each released kit states its source dates, press-ready date, applicable freshness context, and revision record. CTD does not imply that older evidence is current merely because a page remains accessible.
Does CTD contact sources or subjects for me?
No general contact or response-right service is promised through this pilot. Reporters remain responsible for outreach, corroboration, fairness, and their newsroom’s legal and editorial review.

What happens when evidence changes?
